Philosophy
Welcome! I'm Jeannette Stillwell (also known is "Nini" by my "littles"), and I've been operating Nini's Childcare and Preschool out of my home in the beautiful foothills of Nevada City in Northern California since 2008. We offer supportive and engaging curiculums for ages 0 to 5 in a friendly and safe woodsy setting. All snacks and meals are included (organic when possible) and we are a Sierra Nevada Children's Services (SNCS) network provider.
My childcare journey began in Belmont, California and then in Emerald Hills, California, where I operated daycare and preschools for the surrounding communities. From 1981 to 1984 I was director of Camelot Preschool in Belmont before opening my home daycare and preschool until the present.

My philosophy is to create a loving, secure, nurturing and educational environment. My staff and I love helping our littles flourish and grow, and to prepare them for their early school years. We've been fortunate enough to watch many of our young students develop from infants to Ivy League grads, successful business owners and just all-around great humans!
Health & Safety
At Nini's, we take the health and safety of our "littles" as a top priority. All of our staff are first-aid and CPR certified. Also, we sanitize our play and kitchen environments daily, and both staff and children follow clear hand-washing guidelines throughout the day. In addition, strict class-size restrictions go far to reduce illnesses, should they occur. Students must remain fever-free for at least 24 hours, without medication, before returning to care. These measures ensure a healthy environment and help keep our children in our care and not stuck at home.
